Q.How do I prepare/compress my animation/movie file to upload to the site?
A.The easiest thing to do is to use some free software to do this for you. If you are Mac user you might simply try dropping your movie file into iMovie (free with most Macs in recent years) and exporting it at a lower size or quality level.
